Element Aether
Developed for PirateJam 15
Programming and Art by: SpKae
Music and Sound Design by: Medikal Sakrifice
Current Build: Prototype Version 7.3
Gameplay:
Element Aether's gameplay relies on your control over the terrain. Transmuting will do one of two things: create or break a wall. Each wall/floor has an element which determines what they do when created or destroyed.
Water & Air walls are temporary, they will quickly vanish if not transmuted
Earth & Firewalls stay until destroyed
Transmuting an Earth Wall will create a line of spikes that deal damage over time. If a spike comes into contact with an elemental tile, it will spread that elemental tile to the next spike (excluding Aether)
Transmuting a Water Wall will create a circle of water that will heal any entity standing in it over time. After the duration, the water will dry up and turn any time in its range into an earth tile.
Transmuting an Air Wall will push back any character standing adjacent to it away by 2 tiles or until the character collides with a wall.
Transmuting a Fire Wall will consume the light source and restore some of the player's vision (up to a maximum)
Aether Tiles are tiles created by enemies as they walk across the map. Aether tiles cannot be transmuted into a wall or be replaced with another tile via spikes, however, they can be replaced via the water wall effect.
Vision: Overtime you will slowly loose sight of your surroundings . If your vision completely runs out, you will die. Manage your time wisely.
